Resident Fellows are full-time academic staff living in the College. They look after SHEAC student residents’ professional and personal growth. They plan and coordinate academic and informal programs and activities for student residents, deliver a range of workshops, oversee the student bodies, and give advice to students on various aspects of their life in the College.
Dr. Huang Caishi, Kevin
Kevin spent his childhood in Zhuhai, and was then educated in Beijing, Hong Kong and the US. He received a PhD degree in electronic and computer engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His current research interests extend beyond student development, service-learning, residential college development, to wireless networking and communications. He loves various kinds of sports, especially swimming and basketball. He likes travelling, reading and exploring social and economic issues, and is very interested in learning new things. He has a strong faith that students will love SHEAC once they join it as it is an ideal living and learning community.
Sancia grew up in Hong Kong and obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Hong Kong. She went on to pursue and complete a PhD in human geography at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her current research interests span student development, service-learning and community development. She is particularly interested in hiking, travelling and urban exploration, badminton, kin-ball, squash, photography, cooking and gardening. She believes every SHEAC member and their participation forms an important part of this big unified community.
Edmond grew up in Hong Kong and he has an academic background in business and management. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in education at University of Bristol. He has extensive experience in teaching, administration, marketing, and professional development for residential education staff. Edmond aspires to be a great teacher who always inspires students and shares the happiness of learning. His favourite leisure activities are basketball, sprinting, gyming, piano and board games. He believes that SHEAC will lift students’ university life to the next level.
